I’m Ken, an interdisciplinary design practitioner living and working in Seattle, Washington.
I’m currently a designer at Pyramid Communications, a strategy and communications firm giving voice to good causes.
I’m also serving on the Board of Directors for AIGA Seattle, a chapter of AIGA, the professional association for design. In my role as Technology Director, I manage the tools and services the chapter uses, both internally and externally, and look for ways to innovate and improve upon the systems we have in place. I also help organize the Changemaker Series, AIGA Seattle’s annual programming focused on Design for Good and design thinking. I’ve been a member of AIGA since 2009. In 2011 I participated in the AIGA Alabama Design Summit, and recently I participated in the AIGA + IBM F.ACT Summit in Austin, TX, a design thinking facilitator activation workshop for chapter leaders.
In 2012 I graduated from the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC, with a BFA in graphic design. You can see some of my student work on Behance.
Outside of my work with Pyramid and AIGA, I enjoy spending time with my partner, Sarah, and our dog, collecting dinosaur figurines from flea markets, and hunting for funky neon signs around the city. If you know about broomball and where to play it around Seattle, we could be friends.
I’m always more than happy to talk about design, especially with students and emerging designers. The best way to get in touch with me is through email: firstname.lastname@example.org
